1. Here are books I've found helpful.
I am a substitute teacher, secondary level, but I've found these
books are helpful for anyone who teaches/ works with young people
with PDDs.

'Thinking About You'
'Thinking About Me' --by Michelle Garcia Winner

http://www.specialneeds.com/books.asp?id=12075

and

'Inside Out'-- also by Michelle

http://www.specialneeds.com/books.asp?id=10988

I bought them after a lecture I attended
where she was the main speaker. She is
very knowledgeable and has practical, not
theoretical advice when dealing with PDDs.

More resources can be found at the Special Needs Project website,

http://www.specialneeds.com

Thanks for the info on the 'Developing Talents' book.
My son, now 22 ( high spectrum autism) is getting no help
in furthering his education and improving his job prospects!!
It's friggin maddening, but I know we have all gone through this BS
many, many times.

We have to fight like hell to get help for ourselves or our loved ones
with PDDs!
