Hi guys! I need help please, to counter the 'R' word debate.
Where is the link to the article
covering the 'R' word and its gross misuse, including using it as an epithet?

I know one of our members here posted it, but I'm unable to find it.

Thanks.:)

Another question-

Why in the hell do we have to explain this to others, over and over again?

Using the word 'retarded' as a put down is NOT OK!

It's the 'N' word to disabled people, yet few outside our world get that!

:(

I'm leaving for work soon, but will check back this afternoon.

Thanks you guys!

:)

3. Spread the Word, to End the Word
I'm glad you have caught onto this campaign. Have you taken the pledge, or better yet convinced some of your friends to take the pledge on R-word.org ?

5. Now--- HOW DO WE GET THROUGH TO BILL MAHER!?!?

The link on the HBO website is useless.
I never receive any reply using that method.

He not only refuses to stop using the 'R; word, continuously,

he mocks us with " go ahead, call me"
" I have you guys on speed dial".

What a friggin jerk!

:grr:

6. In my experience you can't tell people what to say.
You can only express to them how it makes you feel when they say it.

Unless the person is an asshole, it usually is enough, and if they're an asshole, there's nothing you can do anyway.

7. That is very sound advice, Jeff.

That is a good way to phrase it.

Thanks!
