I drove 450 miles today, got in, and for some reason I can't determine spent the first part of my evening at home listening to the video I posted originally and all the "Fired Up" videos I could find.

I'm getting more fired up as time progresses.

Funny thing ... I read somewhere Barack was concerned about using what happened at that campaign rally for his larger campaign, but Michelle convinced him. I'm not sure if that's true, but it has the ring of truth to it ... and just goes to show that Michelle is at least as smart as her husband.

We got a good duo, and I'm thankful every day that they're there.

14. The people here in Southern Illinois who made the trip to

Chicago to convince Obama to run for the Senate in 2004, met Michelle (something I never did because I didn't make any of the trips upstate) said that they loved Barack but they LOVED Michelle. They said she was one of the reasons that they wanted him to be president because anyone good enough to earn her for a wife had to be special. I kid you not, this is what those elderly women said about him and her. (I'm 64, 59 at that time, so you can imagine how old they were.) They talked about how smart he and she was and said they both would make a great president. Yes, we were already talking about him being president back in 2004. He was saying to hold off on that talk but we were already thinking that he was the candidate that we really wanted and could believe in. :shrug:

And to the naysayers, no he is not my messiah. He is my president and I intend to stand with him until he proves he is not the man I voted for. He has not done that, in fact he has done some of what he promised and I will give him time to do more.
