Jan 4th Gallup Obama standing among "Liberal Democrats" and "Con Reps" reaches historic high and low

The Monday breakdown of Gallup by demographics shows no significant change in the overall numbers but people who classify themselves as "Liberal Democrats" have increased their support to a high of 89% while those that classify themselves as "Conservative Republicans" has shrunk to 10% both historically very high and low numbers.

With a smaller sample because of the holidays a better number will be next Monday's poll.

... about half a dozen times to refute the Doomsday Scenario DUers (DUmseday?) who are convinced that their online friends constitute a representative sample of Democratic voters.

Their argument seems to be: We are going to Hell in a handbasket, and it is all Obama's fault. We will lose the House and Senate both this November, and it is all Obama's fault.

However, when I cite the poll numbers indicating Obama's approval ratings among Democrats, suddenly he doesn't matter during an off-year.

But still, it makes me feel a lot better having a come-back for the negativity, so thank you for enabling me to do so.

12. The 10%

Interesting that about 10% of liberal Democrats don't approve of Obama and only about 10% of conservative Republicans approve of him. I think this shows that President Obama is right about where he ought to be.

14. Seems that way

I did a couple of polls in GD not long ago. The first asked what people here thought of the Democratic Party and the majority of respondents said it was too conservative. In the 2nd poll, I asked the same question regarding the Green Party. The majority of respondents thought it was about where it should be. Meaning that the positions of that party on the issues were similar to those held by them.

I wonder how many Green Candidates can win an election?

On the other hand,we as Democrats should always try to do as much good for people as we can, based on the political realities of the day.
