1. I have news for you Frosty1 we will enter the 2010 elections much more unified

than the Republicans.

The small vocal noise you here at DU are from people that, not all but for the most part, never seriously considered themselves Democrats.

The Republicans are going to have a basic civil war that will pitch religious fundamentalists against establishment conservatives against rural agricultural republicans with tea baggers.

All of them are going to go for broke and they all want to primary each other.

The Dodd resignation showed clearly that the leadership of the party is able to have rational discussions with people about doing what is right for the party.

Watch what happens on the immigration issue as conservative farmers and sun belt Republicans tell the rest of the party that they are full of shit and are going to work with Democrats for immigration reform.
