So, now that Obama himself has ironed out the perceived
problems with the "Cadillac" tax and, as our own lovely Prosense posted, Richard Trumka himself has said “He’s proven to be a friend of working people on this", what do you think the Obashers will Obsess about next?

Prosense's post:

I'm amazed at the small amount of "tweaking" it took. Although I will admit the Collective Bargaining clause is a major point, and a major victory.

NOW, it just has to survive the House and Senate votes. But at least this proves that Obama has, as Trumka said, "proven to be a friend of working people"

1. They'll slime it, as that's the job for a lot of them,
they get paid for hating the Prez.

5. That's my feeling, they "get paid" for it.
Of course, we can't "call them out" openly. Which, frankly, I think is a good DU rule because otherwise people would abuse it. But that doesn't mean that we can't keep debating and exposing them until it becomes obvious. And this is an excellent opportunity!
:)

3. Obama does it again.
He is so smart that he surrounded himself with smart people and they are all so lucky to work for such a smart boss (Obama). Got to respect the man.

In 2004, and I know he was campaigning, he was a mighty big friend to the union members/working men in this region. And it continued once he was in office. Companies had closed here and had left their workers without not only health insurance but also their retirement plans and everything else they had worked for. Obama got his people on it and met with the unions and companies. They worked something out, exactly what I don't remember, but the unions were and are very much behind him in this region. It was funny to see guys you knew were prejudice to the bone, pay homage to him and mean it. This was still bush country on the whole, but when Obama came to town, union workers came to support him.

6. Excellent point! I've heard that my Governor has started pushing
to get "Race for the Top" funds, but I haven't heard any Repub talking points, yet.

Frankly, I'm surprised Lush Rimjob hasn't made a big deal that the first word is "Race".

Oh, crap, I hope he doesn't read this and get any ideas. on second thought, I hope he does - it will just help to show how idiotic and out of touch he is.

8. Amen. Next it will be a fresh wave of "it's corporate enslavement" as the bill nears a final vote.
Added to that, every 5 minutes we'll see a thread started with a theme of "the people have been betrayed," and after the usual suspects have had their fun, our good friend will no doubt show up with crocodile tantrum tears, supreme "betrayed" rage and at least one "people's revolution" threat.

It's worth repeating again:

...."Obama has, as Trumka said, "proven to be a friend of working people."

Not that I ever had any doubt.
