not a very popular one to boot. I started a thread on this in GD, it got 2 replies. In LBN, the school is being blasted for hiring a private security firm to try and rescue these kids. One of the kids is our friends granddaughter. **I am not trolling for sympathy, kicks, or recs.** I find it odd is all I'm sayin' Its true, DU is not the place it once was. These kids were there to hand out food to poor people

And get hurt by the earthquake, it's so extra sad. Nobody doing a good thing like that should suffer.

4. They were there to help before

it happened.

"The students, who were on a mission to help needy Haitians when the earthquake hit Tuesday afternoon, made their way to the U.S. Embassy in Haiti, before flying to the Dominican Republic and back to South Florida early Friday.

Four of their classmates and two professors are still missing. They were last seen inside the Hotel Montana, which collapsed in Port-au-Prince."

can only imagine if it were their daughter or son!

And, in such a crisis why wouldn't you, as a mother or father, reach out anyway you can to try and help them since you yourself feel so Helpless?

5. There are more rescue teams still arriving in Haiti today.

The NYC teams arrived and have already pulled four survivors from the rumble of a supermarket this morning. The Florida and some other country teams pulled out three during the night from the same store. They are still searching through the rumble at the hotel for survivors.

It was announced, by probably the news people, last night that the rescue part was over but the authorities there announced today that the rescue mission would go on as more teams were able to arrive. This is not over yet.
