Can you forgive and forget?

So a year from now we're looking at a completely different situation. Employment is much better, health care is behind us, some progress is made on some important issues, and our erstwhile compatriots are singing a different and more positive tune.

Do you welcome them back with open arms? Do you forgive and forget?

Obviously their votes are important but I don't think I can ever look at these people the same way ever again. I'm certainly not going to turn my back on them or trust them in any way.

They would be complaining about being betrayed over some detail.

If Obama vetoed the currently proposed bill because it had no public option, they would be decrying how cold hearted he was denying mandated insurance to 45 million people.

If the troops came home from both Iraq and Afghanistan tomorrow, they'd find another country to complain about.
