at members of the Democratic Party from the Senate down, who are simply working to undermine the Democratic Party and hurt their electoral chances. Seen all too often on boards like DU P and elsewhere. It was easier in opposition, you did not have to defend, you only had to oppose. You did not need to accept the consequences of governing, primarily the need to choose priorities and the art of compromise.
All policy statements were wonderful, because they never needed to be implemented. All tax plans never damaged international confidence, because again, they were never going to be implemented. Ideas to reform schools could be rejected, because they were not pure enough. Never mind the children who lose out as a result of an education system that fails them.
They may have claimed to have hated the Bush years, but they knew where they stood, in opposition. If they have their way, we will see them all at the front of the barricades protesting the policies of a Republican Congress and a President Palin, wondering again, why did the good times end?
