Maybe in its own sweet way, this could turn out to be a good thing, because people quickly tune out stuff.
Hit them right between the eyes with ad campaigns on the largest tax cuts every for the middle class.. the buisness cuts and grants that have been given.. on and on and on..
Those people in the middle who are unaffiliated will respond to that I think. They are the ones who get people elected. We in the committed sector get them on the ballot.. but it is the great unwashed independent voter that gets them in the office.

What has been achieved and there is a lot and what is at risk. The Democratic Party should pay to distribute the GOP budget proposals to effectively scrap social security, medicare and medicaid to EVERY home in the US.
