President Obama in Denver with Sen. Michael Bennet
Apologies, I am NOT a photographer. I've not yet figured out how to deal with the delay between pushing the button and the shutter working; hence, I got a lot of pics of the back of Obama's head! But we had great seats and I wanted to share.

1. I would - like I'm sure you do - consider having been there a highlight of my life.
It's great you shared the photos, and gave us a feel of what it's like when our President, the one who can speak intelligently, and who can connect with us, and who can make us proud to have elected him, goes out and mingles and takes the message to the people.

Thanks for putting this together.

2. Forgot to add my comments...
It was a loooonnnnggg day. Beautiful day, sunny with some clouds as we drove into Denver. We got there early enough to scope out the neighborhood for parking; joke on us, there is none! So my friend dropped me off in front of the auditorium and went in search of a parking space. There were some groups of protestors across the street; interesting assortment that included pro-marijuana, anti-coal mining, and 9-12ers with a sign that read "Democrats = the left side of fascism" (I really wanted to ask them if Republicans are the right side of fascism!). Anyway.

We got in about 12:30, event was scheduled to begin at 2. Finally started around 3, Air Force One was late getting into Denver. Anyway, our seats were to the right of the stage, third row back. Behind us was a large platform for media, so we could stand and stretch without blocking anyone's view. The front row in our area was occupied by wheelchair-bound young people; they were greeted by Gov.Ritter, Sens. Bennet and Udall, Rep. Polis and President Obama -- what a day for them!

The acoustics left a bit to be desired. And the media folks behind us kept up a steady stream of chatter, along with all the clicks and clacks and whirrs of their equipment. I did manage to hear the fellow a few seats over who kept shouting "51!" But it was just very delightful to be in a big swarm of Democrats who were whoopin' and hollerin' and enjoying the day.

There was a moment when it got a bit overheated; as I noted to one of the other gals, if I was forty years younger that Reggie Love fellow would be in serious trouble. Good thing it was snowing when we left...

5. Thanks for that link!
The woman holding the book and the woman getting a closeup of Obama (baby next to her) are both part of our local Dem organization. One brought her teenage grand-daughter who was quite literally floating from the experience. I didn't find the comments section at that site, by the way -- where do I need to look?

8. Isn't it classy
that he's decided not to use the Presidential Seal on the lectern when doing campaign speeches?

I mean, everybody knows who he is and what weight he carries. Just another bit of elegance from him.
