Okay, sometimes alerting really works
I just alerted on an over-the-top post that I never thought the mods would really do anything about - but I'll be darned, not only did it get locked, it got completely removed.

didn't see the OP but I can imagine. I've been getting very pleasantly surprised lately with the amount of alerts getting immediate attention. Skinner said it would happen but after so long of it not happening it's taking a wee bit of time to get acclimated to the new and improved system!

Do I even want to know?

I'm speaking about a post bragging about a response to a right wing blog, about how Obama was just like the right wingers so they should be happy. It was stomach-churning.

...that has the word "cave" in the name.

Both have subforums exclusively about DU.

Alert early and often. Some of the worst offenders are getting deleted left and right. A little behavior mod goes a long way. :)
