A History of Obama Feigning Interest in Mundane Things

In its odd way, this feature evokes a certain empathy for the way our President, bent double from the weight of so many problems, strives to be polite through an endless succession of planned events.

1. Funny and yet a somewhat wrong headed Mundane Magazine feature,
since Pres. Obama can recite more facts about the mundane than most people could ever want to hear about.

The facts are that this stuff interests him, and allows him to discuss issues in depth that others only dream about being able to discuss.

They don't call him "Professorial" in his approach for nothing.

2. "Feigning"? I don't think
he's feigning..I think he's quite naturally interested in people and what they do.

6. Reminds me of that trip he made to 5 Guys way back when...
... standing in line to order his food, he turned to the person next to him and said, "what do you do?" .... the person told him he worked for some obscure agency. The President, not being familiar with said agency asked him what that involved.

While watching the discussion, I was left with the impression that the President went home that night and squeezed in five minutes learning more about where the guy worked and what he did.

After all, this is the young man who, living as a bachelor in Chicago, caused the ORIGINAL "Obama Mamas" to worry that he was never gonna find a wife because he spent his spare time at home on the weekends, curled up with a book.

5. Yeah, I didn't link this one....
Anyone who thinks that Obama is faking this, doesn't know The Obama...

... given what a nerd-boy he is AND given the fact that the ONLY thing he's complained about living the life of the President is that he's trapped inside a bubble, I'd imagine he wakes up pretty geeked about getting to make these trips.

(And I hope the OP doesn't take this as a slam against them, not intended to be one.)

7. Thanks for more in depth pics, Clio..
That's the prob with so many articles, though..they think they know what they're talking about but they really don't.

Again, not a slam to the OP.
