7. From time to time he does have a back handed political cartoon

and from the ones I have seen he is either a liberal or a Dem (or both). So it's actually quite possible he was thinking about the liberal blog sphere when he wrote it.

I have to say that I work in a very liberal department at a University. I was showing some of my colleagues some of the DU posts today and they were just amazed. These are all very progressive people but it is a public policy department so they understand how things get done.
