I posted about this in GD but figured it warrants notice in the BOG.

It's a program airing on one of Denver's PBS stations during their pledge drive. Called "Camp FEMA" it's really a vehicle for stirring up more fear of Obama. Using Fox news clips of Bachmann and Beck, and playing old news reel footage from Germany pre-WWII with sinister music in the background, the film strives to equate Obama with Hitler. I managed to watch the whole thing, and found it to be utterly loathsome. We can be sure that the 9-12ers and teabaggers will latch onto this thing and use it as a source for "facts".

http://www.kbdi.org/tv_schedule/program_details.cfm?series_id=33102737 Watch it if you can, but keep a bucket handy.

By the way, my dialup won't cooperate in my efforts to send this info to KO or Maddow; so if someone else would like to give it a try I'd be most appreciative.

1. PBS's pledge drive in Denver should be
made to suffer for airing crap like this.

I won't be watching it..hopefully the White House will catch wind of it and do its own counteraction. They're really good at bringing out the truth to counteract the propaganda.

Thanks silverspurs..This is important to know about so we can deal with it.

2. The producer of this Gary Franchi is a total nut case. He founded the website
Restore the Republic. He's a big time ultra right wing teabagger. Why would PBS even consider airing anything produced by this nut case?

Colorado DUers need to be contacting them.

4. Members of 'restore the republic'
were manning the phones at the station when the film aired. I called and told the person who answered that I was 'unpledging' due to the blatantly racist nature of the film. She said she'd pass the message along, I'm thinking she probably didn't. So, I'll call the live pledgeline when they're airing something else and will 'unpledge' again, want to make sure they get the message.

5. Thank you!
I hope other people in Denver do the same.
