WE CAN'T WAIT - 1,115 - WH finally gets its game on in the message war
Edited on Tue Mar-09-10 01:41 PM by quiet.american
Have you seen whitehouse.gov today? They have finally, finally found a succinct, impactful way to tell/sell their side of the story on HCR:

"$1,115 – that’s the average premium for employer-sponsored family coverage per month in 2009. Annually, that amounts to $13,375 – or roughly the yearly income of someone working a minimum wage job.

This week -- in an effort to put the past year’s debate over health insurance reform into perspective -- we’re launching, “Health Reform by the Numbers,” an online campaign using key figures, like $1,115, to raise awareness about why we just can’t wait for reform. We’ll announce a new number each day and promote them here on Whitehouse.gov and on social networks, like Facebook and Twitter."

$1,115

Worth a visit, and edited to add, damn, I wish they had found this kind of footing LAST SUMMER, but I guess David Plouffe can't be everywhere

3. This is how her President operated during the campaign, too
Everyone threw fits because he never responded to anything before he was ready.

I've been saying this for a year. He's in charge, and I'm glad it's him, not me.

oto make this happen?

I am so stressed about it and I'm calling everyone I can think of ~

Is their going to be a Mass March for Health Care In Major cities?

If so, where can I find out about Los Angeles?

4. K
Thanks for your post.

Does someone have the strength to post it so others can see it in plain language ~ in "other locations?"

5. Hey, goclark - I think this kind of post would be pure flamebait "out there" or would sink -
So I post it here for those who may actually be interested.

I was in a few threads out there yesterday, and shouldn't be amazed any longer, but it's still astonishing to see the misconceptions people have, and the blatant misinformation people are STILL puttting out there about HCR.

Then there are people who are still insisting there's been nowhere to find information on the bills when information is no further away than Google or whitehouse.gov.

One thing about these forums though, is that it forces one to grow thicker skin. Most replies to me out there (and I'm sure to most of us) start out with namecalling and other crap, but I try to just stick to the facts in my own replies, although, sometimes people do get under my skin.
