Damnit, I cannot believe people are unreccing the facts on HCR

I made a post about the Myths of the HCR bill. I cited every reference and have been careful about the terms and language used (a couple of responders actually tried to say I used words I didn't and I successfully called them on it). And yet, the unrec brigade is on the attack. I seriously believe there are people monitoring our posts at a site that cannot be named and then actively unreccing posts made by people from the BOG.

There are far too many people at DU who want to shut out the facts on HCR.

I can believe it because this is the place that it is, and there are many reasons for it. Some of it is personal, some of it coordinated. There are people, for instance, who unrec anything some people post without reading it.

And, yes, some of us are being monitored and followed. I've seen evidence of it on Facebook in fact.

Doesn't matter though. The rec/unrec system is nothing to get worried over really.

The only things that are really notable are those that, for instance, get 300+ recs while referring to Democrats and President Obama as, essentially, traitors.

They didn't give up on both parties, they never believed in either of the parties. They took a step outside civilization at some point in their lives and decided to stay there. Which is fine - but not really conducive to getting anything at all accomplished.

7. There are folks who voted for Obama who would have normally voted for Nader, or Kucinich or bust....

and because they did, they think that Obama owes them something; to morph into a Kucinich/Nader!

These are the people that don't really give a shit who's in charge, because whomever it is will never live up to their ideal of the leader they would really support; a Nader or a Kucinich, that no matter how noble they sound, couldn't get elected if their supporters' lives depended on it.

So they finally won an election, or so they thought.
But in reality, it doesn't matter that Obama isn't more liberal than many,
cause he's not as liberal as theirs; you know....the ones that couldn't win
a presidential election even if mankind was hanging in the balance and it was
the last day of life on earth.

So they will always have a reason not so support Barack Obama;
as opposition to anyone in power not doing exactly their bidding
is what they breathe.

It simply is a fact that a number of high posting pro Obama posters are targeted for automatic unrecs.

Based on some posts that I made that represented issues that everyone agrees on I found that I consistently averaged 20 unrecs no matter what.

Frankly I take it as a compliment.

I know that I get them because I frequently use misleading subject lines for ironic effect and these people will unrec and then get on and make a comment that is against the ironic subject line but in agreement with the OP.

When this is pointed out then they admit that they never read the OP.

You can tell how many unrecs you get if your thread gets to 'the greatest'

go to 'the tens' check total recs.

For example the OP by Seafan in which he proudly shows that he has no idea what is actually in the bill got a total of 124 recs (see total recs) at the same time it is showing 98 recs on the front page.

So a total of 25 other people have agreed with me that someone who has no idea of what is in the HCR should not be getting a rec and have unreccd the OP.
