After passage we will be 'treated' to numerous inside accounts about how the President magically turned a disaster into victory.

What they will miss is basic Obama strategy.


1) Look at a problem for all sides as objectively as you can.

2) Find the best solution that has the best chance of passing politically.

3) Persevere.

4) Don't give up.

5) Don't let others give up.

6) Go out and encourage the regular folks, be cool.

7) Keep encouraging other leaders.

8) repeat 3-7

9) Keep repeating 8

10) Wear them down.

11) Pass the legislation.

Now he keeps doing it over and over again and each time the talking heads go

"How did he get it done?"
