5. It looks like DU again out there

I glanced at the headlines after I added my recc to the check in thread and it looks like DU again out there, mostly just a lot of good liberal topics. How refreshing! I may not get a thing done today.

Part of the problem around here is that the anti-Obama crowd pollutes GD with thread after thread tearing him down and getting the obligatory 125-150 recs which puts them on the greatest page. These folks then come to believe that because so many anti-Obama pieces are on the Greatest page, that this must mean that the MAJORITY of DU agrees with them.

That just ain't true. The highest rec'd piece I've ever seen on DU was when Obama won the Nobel Prize. That thread got about 650 recs (not sure about unrecs). When an anti-Obama post gets close to that amount, then we'll know that the site has truly turned against him. These folks who trash Obama and think that they speak for all, most or even half of DU (let alone America) ain't come close to figuring things out.
