Is this where I come for answers without snark and nastiness?
I thought so. Can anyone here tell me what the "fixes" are in the Senate reconciliation process? Thanks!

7. Our snark
is always directed at someone other than the President.

That right there is the difference here.

9. For those out of work--how will they be affected by HCR?
I know I should know this, but I honestly haven't seen it addressed specifically.

10. I"m not sure what help will come immediately versus later but I Googled it.
Try Google new search, "health care unemployed",

Here's one article: http://www.newsweek.com/id/235296/output/print

Hopefully others will answer you, too.

The only drawback to the Barack Obama Group: less frequent visits by DUer to respond to questions.

:hi:

12. Thanks, NY. That was informative. It looks like the unemployed
will have outlets for help although it will take some legwork on their part to get it done. Like most, I have unemployed relatives, and I worry about them.

13. Don't forget clinics.
Varies from state to state and tough for people not near urban centers, but clinics are often available to serve people who have no other service system available to them.

I would search for and contact county and state level "public health" departments and go from there.

11. This, from the first article, is interesting:
******************************

"Possibly the biggest change through the fix is something that is surprisingly not being talked about much. In 2011 insurance companies would be forced to report what premiums they are charging and also provide accounting as to how that money is being spent. A review board would then have the power to deny rate or modify rate increases if they are not justified."

******************************

(I haven't figured out how to do that text box that sets quotes apart yet.)

14. How to use block quotes (text in boxes):
When you are typing your reply, click on "HTML lookup table" for instructions, it's not too hard.

HTML use enabled. Use < > instead of < >. HTML lookup table
