Also had a man screaming about the Pope hasn't really done anything wrong - "the NY Times needs to stop pointing the finger at the Pope."

He said the Times is way off base because during the time in question, the Church was doing what every other church did -- tried to handle those issues themselves.

Wasn't this Pope selected during the GW days?

Seems like I remember something about Bush taking a special quiet trip to visit Rome before the "selection."
