Does anyone know when the "gruesome video" ad will be rotated off DU?

Just the sight of it makes it difficult for me to navigate around the site. It's disturbing. I'm, in fact, a vegetarian -- one reason it disturbs me so much! I know there are arguments on both sides about the necessity/effectiveness of these ads. I just thought this one might have been gone by now.

2. Hi, Cha! On the homepage, in the ads to the right, it's the bottom ad.

It appears, I think, somewhere on every page that ads customarily appear for DUers who are contributors.

and where I've been besides here.. LBN, GDP I haven't seen it. Thankfully. I tend to not look at any ads, though.

6. Set your browser preferences to block images from "st.blogads.com".

You'll still see the text, but not the images.

This applies to Firefox, I believe other browsers have the same functionality.

9. If you're not using Firefox, get it.

If you are using Firefox, get the AdBlock Plus extension. It can block the stuff that even the donor star still allows. I don't see a single ad on this board, or any others.

This also works with the SeaMonkey 2.x browser, for those who like the browser & e mail client in the same package.
