I'm posting this in the BOG because, frankly,

it's easier to trust those who post here. In short, I'm being ripped off by someone who frequents DU and I choose to believe that it's not a BOG denizen behind the theft.

Some time ago I embedded some links in my sigline. The links were intended to lead readers to my website and online shop; I'd corresponded with admins to make sure they were okay with the links, explaining that I was hoping the links would help to supplement the small social security disability check that is my only income. Skinner et al have been very encouraging of my efforts.

So it's a bit dismaying that a couple of DUers have reported following the links to places that are not mine; one purchased merchandise with my designs along with items I do not produce (I was not compensated for either), the other reports finding information and 'stuff' that I do not produce. In hindsight, I was surprised, when I attended an Obama event in February, to find many people in the crowd wearing my buttons even though I'd had no report of the sales; I'd eventually dismissed it as just a similarity of design.

Here's the deal -- when I click on the links, they take me to my store and my website. So, I'm asking for DUers to follow the links and send me screenshots of what they find; you can send them to [e-mail] . I'm hoping that this will help to find out who's ripping me off. And as soon as I get some screenshots I'll remove the links until the matter is resolved.

I remember having an exchange with you at one point(awhile ago) when there was some controversary about what cafepress was selling for the republicon side(I don't even know now what it was but it wasn't very nice)..but, you were defending buying stuff on cafepress(I hadn't even noticed your sig line until later) and I wasn't having any of it. But, since I've changed my mind and felt bad about it & wanted to apologize to you..

Well, here it is..Sorry, I wasn't understanding about the Democratic side selling their stuff on cafepress.:)

So far it's looking okay, except for the one DUer who bought something we make and something we don't make, our name is on the receipt, but we have no record of the sale and no money. Headache inducing! Once we get a picture of the item that was credited to us we'll be able to talk with cafepress and get the mess squared away - maybe.
