You are (were, say it ain't so!) one of the best that DU had to offer. I always enjoyed your photo threads, and everything else you posted. You always kept it positive, and you never had to throw in a snarky sentence or two to prove your point. You were always enthusiastic and positive and passionate about the causes you believed in. I appreciated the time and effort you gave to this site.

16. Thanks Jackeens, we miss you. I'm heading back to Ireland next week with Celtica Tours again...

Last year was my first time, and for the first time this particular group went to the North -- you have a beautiful country. This time the tour will be in the West.

We just have our fingers crossed that the Icelandic volcano doesn't cause the airports to be shut down again...

As for me (and the rest of the Barack Obama Group here in the BOG) we definitely keep the faith.

You're an auld sweetheart, thank you - and everyone else - so much for your very, very lovely words.

I'm still dropping in, despite the abundance of DUers who are evidently savouring every single setback this President endures (and boy, how they enjoy every one of them!) there are still so many seriously great people posting here, people who actually understand the mind-blowing challenges this President faces.

My 'place' is just a bit of fun, nothing more, a little bit of light relief and positivity in these largely shitty days! I VERY proudly continue to celebrate this President, I think he's doing a stupendous job in the face of unceasing hostility, from the extremes of his own party and from the right. Maybe one day they'll grow up and understand what it's like to run the United States of America in the worst of times. But I doubt it.
