He never set out to walk on water..(with this oil spill, he just might)

But he did take it all on.

The buck has always stopped with him.. he has always taken the responsibility.

From day one, and prior to the inauguration even, it has been "holding his feet to the fire"

The right wingnuts have decided to take that up to get out from under their own culpability.

Everything they messed up, from the deficits to the war to even this deep water rigs with no back up.. he inherited.. and now the right is making him "responsible" for.

It makes me want to pull my hair out, one hair at a time.

Nothing that is accomplished is acknowledged.. and everything is a constant drowning out of any forward movement.

So yeah, it is all his fault. :sarcasm:

He should have been more forceful in letting people know "We are all in this" instead of just him.

Because with this type of outlook, nothing the President or the Congress will accomplish will be acknowledged.. the Republicans are going to get a free ride from all the hell they single handedly put forward with the Rove Plans.

I wish we were pushing forward together, but when I hear something coming out of Camp Limbaugh one day, and see it being pushed as fact on this site the next.. something is seriously amiss

And maybe it is the Presidents fault for not being clearer.

Because the hatred of him is palpable. Absolutely palpable. He did not live up to the unrealistic expectations of those who wanted him to make it all magically disappear, and to those who are trying to slip through the gates of responsibility to push all their mess off on him.

1. I feel the pain

and I am surprised that we have been allowed to post our responses.

That is greatly appreciated and noted.

2. So I'm still wondering
why those of us who support our legitimately elected Democratic president have to retreat to a little corner of DU in order to have civil conversation, while those who demand the right to rip him apart while assailing his supporters are at liberty to do so all over the board.

Damned bassackwards if you ask me.

5. Something tells me we are going to get in trouble

We are bad people and we are always getting in trouble.

It's not right to support the Democratic President.

4. It's easy to find something to pick about if you want to
When you are trying to do it, no one has a perfect life, and going out of your way to interpret things negatively.

And the Presidency is of limited powers - I don't get the mind set that every time something happens, people start looking at the President as if it's his problem automatically.

May as well make him responsible for every federal criminal court case going on! Or every single regulatory failure. There are going to be those, regardless of who is President.

6. Yeah, it's so
easy..the hard part is having to fix it when you're the President of the United States or anyone who actually does something besides complain.
