From the "You've Got to Be F*cking Kidding Me" Dept. - John Boehner speaks.
Excerpts from Bloomberg story today:
http://noir.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=arJW4Y7p70a4&pos=9

“We do not have the luxury of waiting months for the president to pick scapegoats for his failing ‘stimulus’ policies,” Boehner said. “We’ve tried 19 months of government-as-community-organizer. (WTF?!!! -- still using that tired, dog-whistle shite from 2008!) It hasn’t worked. Our fresh start needs to begin now.” (A "fresh start" that apparently means doubling down on ALL the GOP policies that drove the country into a ditch in the first place, and rolling back all the progress made since Obama took office - such as four quarters of steady GDP growth, and more jobs created in 18 months than Bushco created in **8 yrs.**)

More crap.... Boehner said the president should “stop obstructing” Republican attempts to repeal the health-care legislation that Congress approved earlier this year. (That's a five-Scotches-straight-up statement - what.the.hell? -- a Democratic president who championed a hard-fought, hard-won, historic bill should help dangerous Republican buffoons destroy it? What.the.hell.) The president won approval of that package after a year of legislative debate, and Republicans hope to use the law as an election issue.

More crap.... Boehner issued four other demands, including calling on the president to refrain from plans to “impose job-killing tax hikes on families and small businesses.” He and Republican leaders in the Senate oppose Obama’s plan to allow the Bush-era tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 to expire next year for households earning more than $250,000 a year. (Not letting the Bush tax cuts expire will cost $680 billion in revenues over the next decade, and literally add up to cutting a check for $3 million dollars each for the richest one-tenth of 1% of the country, http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/23/opinion/23krugman.html?scp=3&sq=krugman&st=cse">according to Paul Krugman. But when Democrats were trying to get unemployment benefits extended, what did Republicans literally say? "Tough shit." Yet, Boehner stands up there shamelessly lying about how cutting a $3M check for millionaires/billionaires on the backs of the middle-class is a "job-killing tax hike.")

Let's not even talk about Boehner calling for Obama to fire his entire economic team!

My blood pressure no doubt went through the roof reading Boehner's absolute crap. Even the Bloomberg headline is a joke: "Boehner Calls on Obama to Fire Treasury Secretary For Mishandling the Economy"

You've got to be f*cking kidding me. /end rant

1. And that is why I don't
read boner's crap or any other crap spewed on the internet if I can help it..it's beyond disgusting and dealing with it for the years of the bushcheney coup was entirely enough.

Their whole MO is to attack with lies because they're too menatally challenged to come up with anything of substance regarding a policy of their own.

Poor things are so obsessed with President Obama and how they're going to attack next.. never giving him credit for anything bc they're always in a snit preparing for the whiney, jealous rage du jour.

Their growth has been stunted..they'll never be anything other than defined by how poisonous they are.

2. I hear you, Cha - I should have never clicked on that Bloomberg article. :)
But what gets me is -- Boehner is out of Ohio, which always falls into the category of being one of the hardest-hit states, even it seems, when the economy is **good**. Don't people in his district need healthcare and jobs? - both of which he's repeatedly voted against.

The man looked stinky drunk (I don't know if he actually was) when he stumbled into the House chamber on March 23rd of this year to give his bizarre "Hell no, you can't!" speech. He looked so lit, he even called David Obey "Madame Speaker." My point is, who are his constituents who are proud to have this buffoon represent them? What the hell?

In any case, I just had to vent after reading Boehner's latest crap. Thanks for stopping in.

:fistbump:

3. "GOP policies that drove the country into a ditch in the first place"
I think the American people are a lot smarter than the GOP is telling us.

And I found it particularly amusing that the biggest cry baby, temper tantrum throwing whiner in the GOP is calling out for adults to be put in charge!

I certainly hope people understand that what the GOP is proposing is exactly that... a return to the failed policies that got us into this mess in the first place.

It's needs said... repeatedly and loudly.

5. And they have their lemmings so scared...
They aren't willing to consider anything else. So sad.
