6. I think admins are over-compensating, going out of their way to accommodate the wackos.

In an effort to keep this mess together and to not alienate too many, I think they are letting members vent more than usual.

I don't think it will look this way after a year passes.

7. I have a problem with people being called out in ops

That happened this morning.. a person was called out in the title of an op.. I alerted..nothing happened, and I confronted the person in the op.. and they then took that persons name out of the op.. but that was just so wrong..

Now you have people making up stuff.. posting it as fact.. (I guess that is their right) but they know better..

That is exactly what the right did for 8 years.. just keep telling a lie over and over again, till people start to believe it.

If it weren't for a few groups, this being one of them, I would have left DU and not returned. There is another liberal message board I used to frequent that I have not been to in over a month because of the sickening extremism over the health care compromises.

22. The admins are smart. They know that anti-Obama sentiment among a tiny but shrill

and painfully loud group of "liberals" is all the rage right now. And they're capitalizing on it. If I was an owner/admin of the site and used this place to help pay my bills, I might be doing the same thing.

They also know that in order to participate in groups like this, the "safe havens" as they are frequently called, one has to donate to this site. Like I said, they're smart. :)
