6. I think a big part of the problem is the attacks on Obama have been over the top

it's like nothing he does is right. As a result many reasonable people are forced into a constant position of defense. It's not like we agree with the President on everything or think he has not made any mistakes, rather it's a matter of trying to give the man a fair break.


It's like if a crazy neighbor rang your doorbell and started ranting and raving to you about how horrible you mailbox was and how it was ruining the neighborhood. When you then tried to explain that you don't see your mailbox in that light, the same person accuses you of worshiping your mailbox.

I had to step way back at work today bc a new volunteer was talking about Global Climate Change and he brought up Al Gore which I knew was mistake. I don't talk politics in the back with the volunteers bc I know some of them are fauxsn00zers..sure enough the next thing I knew one was going on and on about how we pay for "Michelle's dresses".

They say they're Christians but it wasn't very nice the pissy way she was dumping on the First Lady bc she thought we paid for her clothes.
