Poll question: Do you think that a Gore/Clark ticket could get over 60% of the vote? |

Why not go for crushing victory across the land that would allow a mandate for new action. Save the world and save our military/nationalguard/miltia at the same time. These are the guys to tell the southern working class how the "cow ate the cabbage" and they need to come home to the Dems for their very survival. It's time to ask the South to grow up and vote for the smart guys for once instead of drinking buddies. It's time for the equivalent of a new kind of TVA/FEMA at the very least in the face of daunting future energy and climate prospects.

Al Gore is not likely to get any crossover votes from Republicans - he's a boogeyman to them. His presence on the ticket would almost certainly bring more Democrats to the polls, but 60% seems farfetched.

4. I don't see anyone getting over 60% |

on either side. No matter who's running against who, I think it's going to be a train wreck like the last two elections.

7. Find me a general election poll with Gore beating Dame Rudy or McCain by 5% |
|
That'd be a nice start. Winning by 20% is fantasyland IMO.

No Democratic ticket is going to get 60% of the vote, unless they're running against Pat Roberson.

11. 60% is about what we got last Nov. |
|
SO its very possible. If Gore runs, he will win IMHO. If he breaks 60%, that will mean big pickups in the House and Senate. I might go out on a limb and say a 58-42 Senate is not too crazy a thought.
