MSNBC storm preparedness polling. Did they say "Alex I'll take the commonly known info for $100"
Saying that people in New Orleans don't expect to be hit by another hurricane soon. That about 1/5 of people would not leave during a mandatory evacuation. That many people don't have kits and such.

That's always been the thought in New Orleans, Betsy didn't change it and neither will Katrina. The 16% of people who say they would stay with their property actually seems low to me, no one has to leave in a mandatory evacuation provided you own the property. They just don't get any government services during an evacuation. Does MSNBC think it's their role or the role of the government to change people's concern about their safety?
