1. Two bad "singers" in the same room
I love Black Flag
I love a lot of other people's material that Henry put out on his label
I am grateful to Henry for being Selby's publisher
but I find him to be insufferable

2. Yes, it's hard to disagree with that.
His show is pretty good. I think he's done his homework. Tonight he admitted to being late to the game, and trying to catch up. I give him a lot of credit.

We're all a lot older than the days of Six Pack!

It's kind of weird to listen to Henry talking about our history of foreign policy. I was not a fan of his talks. But after watching a season, I've started liking his tint on things. He could do a lot worse.

11. I call him "Stinky," much to my hubby's delight (he thinks that's
hilarious).

I met him once in St. Louis. Great guy, but smelled rather, erm, ripe. Hubby thinks it wasn't just the sweat, but possibly some of the supplements he uses to enhance his bicseps. ;)

3. Rollins has a great contest going to allow you to host his show
Edited on Sat Jun-02-07 01:37 AM by mannyhanny
He's doing a contest where he invites anyone to submit a 30 second "rant" on one of the topics he's chosen (subjects like abortion, Iraq, Bush's response to Katrina, global warming, etc.) and upload it to his site. He will watch all the videos and the ranter he chooses as best will get flown to LA, meet Henry and host an upcoming ROLLINS SHOW Marathon on IFC. That's pretty cool. The deadline is early July. I probably didn't explain it all too good but details are at www.ziddio.com/myrollinsrant

I'm going to give it a shot. I think most anyone on this board would probably be a better "pundit" than some of the airbags we see on TV every day.

7. Thanks guys, great to be here
It's really a good feeling knowing there are others out there who haven't drunk the Kool-Aid. And I think I seriously will try out for the Rollins contest. I could rant for much more than 30 seconds on any of those topics (as I'm sure most of us could) but what the hell, TV needs some more sensible voices and real liberals other than the alleged ones Fox throws on the air!

9. There's nothing weak about Henry.
Last show he said something that applies to me as well. That he's late to the party and running to try and catch up.

We've all been doing our own thing. The government has been doing it's. But until now, we were not aware that it was going in the other direction. Well, some of us. If someone (maybe like Congressman Byrd) admits they did wrong, and starts over, I give them credit. There's nothing I hate more than arrogance.

I didn't used to like Henry. He's got my attention now.

10. I feel the same way
That's interesting if he said he was "late to the party." I sort of feel the same way sometimes, and I know I'm less apathetic or informed than many of my friends and co-workers. They just don't seem to pay attention. I wonder how many Americans are just coming out of a slumber now?

Not that they were even pro-Bush or GOP, necessarily, but that they were just apathetic. I suspect that's as dangerous as someone being a right-wing nut job but at least caring about politics and issues.

What's the old saying - "All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing."

Maybe the only silver lining about Bush is that Americans are finally beginning to wake up.
