"give the troops their money" trumpeted George W. bUsh

Which money would that be, mr. bUsh?

The 0.5% wage increase YOU OPPOSED, mr bUsh? The 0.5% increase you called "unnecessary", mr. bUsh?
http://www.armytimes.com/news/2007/05/military_payhike_whitehouse_070516/

Or perhaps you mean the proposed increased survivor benefits of $40 a month to spouses of those who lost someone in military service...that YOU OPPOSED? That too is "unnecessary, mr. bUsh?
http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/legislative/sap/110-1/hr1585sap-h.pdf

Maybe it's money for the the proposed increase to US troops' danger pay...that you so vehemently opposed and in fact wanted DECREASED?
http://www.washtimes.com/national/20030814-110411-2389r.htm

Could it be funds for more body armour...that you opposed? Healthcare for vets...that you opposed? VA access for reservists...that you opposed?

If the "money for the troops" you whine of is for things such as body armour and up-armored vehicles, better you just give the troops the money directly, mr. bUsh. Because after 5 years of war and our troops still short of body armor and protected vehicles, you & your cronies obviously can't do the job.

1. Spot on....
what he REALLY means is, "give me the damned money so I can continue my dumb-assed war, so I can distribute billions to my cronies".

Like bush ever gave a crap about the troops. :puke:

2. I thought it was the taxpayers' money.
And we don't want to pay for the invasion of Iraq.

5. This is just a simple misunderstanding...
When * says the word "troops," he means those BFEE warrior$ fighting to the death to steal every penny they can from anyone they can. CONtext is everything. ;-)

4. Translation: Give the money to the corporate sponsors of the war. Namely,
Bush crime family cronies, so that they can manufacture more war machines to give to the American military.

8. If the Dem. leadership was smart it'd trump up the fact that Bush opposes
raising the wages of soldiers.
