Kervorkian for Falwell -- Sign of social change ?

Has anybody given any thought to the fact the same week Jerry Falwell was taken from us -- Jack Kervorkian was returned to us ? Maybe that's the Lord's way of saying he is tired of this Republican crap , also :-)

1. I'm no fan of Falwell or his ilk, but

...I was sickened by the gleeful cackling I saw all over the net when he died. And I find this post in very poor taste.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

2. Well, you certainly were polite about Falwell's death.

"Jerry Falwell was taken from us" You could have put it in worst terms.

No man has done more to undermine the real meaning of Christianity since the Inquisition. I mean think about it. Jesus was poor all his life, he advocated for the poor and promoted nonjudgmental forgiveness of everyone. Then there is Falwell. A man who made a fortune off of Jesus and promoting hate. False Prophet comes to mind.

But the comparison to Jack Kervorkian is somehow off key. Jack doesn't set himself up as a mouthpiece of God. Though I find Jack a little less hypocritical then Falwell, I by no means think he represents the liberal view.

3. same week?

what calendar do you use?

4. The one that says

"six days shalt thy labor and do all thy work. But the seventh is.. ", a week being a span of 7 days.

But I suppose it just seems like a week because -- as they say -- time passes fast when you're having fun.
