Breaking: Guantanamo judge drops charges against Khadr 04 Jun 2007 The military judge presiding at Omar Khadr's 'war crimes' tribunal dismissed all the charges against the young Canadian on Monday. The judge said he did not have jurisdiction to try Khadr under a new 2006 law authorizing tribunals at Guantanamo for foreign terrorism suspects. Having formerly been married to a USMC JAG, I have felt all along that the dedication of the JAG corps to the rule of law and the process of law would ultimately put an end to the unlawful, kangaroo-court nature of the tribunals, as well as the suspension of habeus corpus.
