...is the U.S government. So either: (1) severely hamper it by bankrupting it, or (2) make it the scourge of
all political persuasions.
By bankrupting it, CorpUSA can reign supreme. It can also take the place of the very institutions the US was once proud of, offering a alternative version "for a price."
And, dissuade liberals and progressives that government works for the betterment of the people. I've noticed an alarming increase in government criticism among acquaintances who I consider liberal or progressive;
not necessarily the mob who presently controls the US government, but the very notion of government itself. I'm not saying criticism of government should be suppressed, but that the real malfeasance we are currently enduring is found
in the government, not as a result of government.
But any previous attempts to take down the US government as been futile: Consider the Fifth Column attempt to overthrow FDR in the 1930s as revealed by Gen. Smedley Butler...
In 1934 Butler came forward and reported to the U.S. Congress that a group of wealthy industrialists had been plotting to overthrow the government of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in a military coup. Even though the congressional investigating committee corroborated most of the specifics of his testimony, no further action was taken.Wikipedia...to the Iran-Contra scandal. The US appeared to be the ultimate foil for neo-con fascist aspirations.
However, the Bushistas have come much further to realizing a dream of world domination while enslaving the people of America and dismantling their champion.
I don't think FDR's "New Deal" had the Bushistas in mind when he envisioned it.
