Fucking jackass idiots.

"8-Year-Old Charged For Sexual Conduct With Sitter

(KUTV) SALT LAKE CITY, Utah A mother is upset after a 14-year-old babysitter engaged in sexual conduct with her eight-year-old boy, and the eight-year-old was charged with lewd conduct.

Prosecutors have since dropped the charges against the boy, but his mother is still concerned.

The sexual conduct occurred during a game of “truth or dare” while the boy was being watched by the babysitter.

Prosecutors say that, while the babysitter initiated the contact, the young boy was a willing participant.

“She dared my son to touch her breasts,” says Michelle Grosbeck, the boy’s mother. "

1. This sounds as if the girl needs a serious discussion about such behaviour - nothing more.

9. Depends on the kid, both genders IMO
Some 14 year olds are much more sexually aware than other 14 year olds.

22. Some are wearing pink so I think that would not count as a crime
Why is that anyway? A boy touches a breast and he gets charged with a crime yet a girl does the same thing and everyone would just shrug...

13. my how the times have changed
when we were kids, truth or dare stuff like this happened all the time. It was no big deal. Everyone went on with their lives, and no charges were filed.

What sort of a society have we become when humans are no longer allowed to be human?

26. god I hate posts like this. "When I was a kid, blah blah blah"
well, guess what. Its your generation that grew up, sold out, and start suing the shit out of everyone for anything.

I want to fucking puke every time I see one of those ridiculous "kids today are too soft" chain emails. Shit like "We never wore seatbelts and we turned out ok".

Well, don't blame the kids. Its the very same generation that complains about how things have changed that is actually implementing the changes.

15. Damn, what ever happened to "playing doctor?"
kids are inquisitive; they do stuff.

the babysitter probably should have a talking to.

she needs to be advised that she needs to find a 14-year old and go out behind the barn and have HIM touch her boobs.

16. You know what happened to "playing doctor"
TUPELO, MISS (Spurious News Network) -- An eight-year-old child is in police custody tonight after a seemingly innocent game of "playing doctor" went awry.

Kevin Jones, 8, of the 3400 block of J Street, sits in the Maximum Security Wing of Tupelo City Jail charged with insurance fraud, child sexual molestation and impersonating a physician.

His victim, whose name has been withheld to protect her safety, recounted the story in all its grisly detail. "It was so horrible. I had fallen off a swing in my backyard when I was playing with a bunch of other kids. Everyone falls off swings all the time, it's no big deal, but I cut my knee. Kevin was such a sweet boy. He washed my cut with soap and water, put a bandage on it and kissed my boo-boo. He was just so nice. Then I ruined his whole life. I said 'Thank you, Doctor Kevin,' and Kevin said, 'if I'm a doctor now I should file an insurance claim like a real doctor.' He went to my mom's computer, pulled up an insurance company's website, and clicked on 'submit a claim.' He filed a claim for twenty-five cents, and listed himself as the doctor. Five minutes later, thirty policemen broke down our front door and stuffed Kevin in a pillowcase, and I haven't seen him since."

A representative of Real Health Insurance, the insurance company Kevin attempted to criminally defraud, defended his company's actions. "That kid is just totally reprehensible and vile. Imagine thinking he could get away with stealing from our company like that. If we sent Kevin a quarter for bandaging up a cut, we'd have to send every snot-nosed punk who bandaged up a cut a quarter. And if we paid out on every bandaged-cut claim, we'd have to pay out on every heart attack claim, every stroke claim, we'd have to leave women in the hospital more than 24 hours after giving birth...you know that this one little juvenile delinquent could totally destroy our company's ability to trade in our fleet of seventy corporatejets before the warranty runs out on the carpeting, don't you? So we're gonna throw this little punk in the slammer for the rest of his life as a warning to the others. Err...ummm...that sounded kinda bad, didn't it? Let's try that again...our company is totally aghast by this overreaction by the police. We told them to send one officer over there to give Kevin a stern lecture and they reenacted the Rescue of Elian Gonzalez. We're investigating why this was allowed to happen right now."

John Johnson, Tupelo City Jail warden, says Kevin is completely safe and making new friends. "He's a real nice kid, but he's still a kid. I couldn't put him in with the murderers or the rapists because they're dangerous, or anyone from the American Family Association because they spend all day drinking pruno and handling live rattlesnakes, so I housed him with the guys who are doing twenty to life for simple possession of marijuana. He's gonna be perfectly unharmed there, but I'm just a little worried because he's only been in there a day and a half and already they've taught him to clean weed."

21. The 8-year-old boy is the one who got in trouble?
That's crazy. The 14-year-old girl is the one who was acting inappropriately. 8-year-olds haven't even hit puberty yet.

23. If anything, the babysitter should have been charged
Depending on how the state laws are, they might be considered in the same age category under the law. In some states though, in addition to the age of consent, there might be other age distinctions under/over 10, under/over 12, under/over 14, etc.
If the babysitting continued, the conduct of the sitter may or may not have gone further. It may have been an innocent game or it may have been grooming for full sexual contact.

Let's criminalize kids' sexual explorations.

31. Well, a male friend of mine was "raped" by his 16 year old female babysitter
When he was 10. It started with games like this case.
He says that he didn't really know what was going on at the time and that she took advantage of his naivete. He claims that he wasn't damaged, but from hearing about some of his experiences and attitudes, I think that it did affect him somewhat.
In the boy in the article's case, maybe it was enough that the mother fired the babysitter since the sexual contact did not go any further.

34. This is child abuse (both the 14-year old's behavior and the arrest of the kid)
The 14 year old needs some serious counseling (and an investigation into any possible childhood abuse). The 8-year old needs to be told that anyone older than he is who plays "games" like this needs to be reported to his parents. And the cops need to get some training.
