3. Same here! So that means a whole lot of people won't be
watching, and might just deflate the anticipatory numbers of those expected to watch.

:\

I dunno, it's not like the entire country is glued to cable news at 9:00 at night on a Sunday anyway. If they wanted to dump this on Sunday night, it really wouldn't make much of a difference if the Sopranos were ending or not, most people, other than news junkies, wouldn't know until Monday anyway.

Chase is telling the story of four generations. From Uncle Junior to Tony to Christopher to Meadow and A.J., they are in many ways emblematic of their generation of Americans.

42. ABSOLUTELY!
There really is. There was so much left to be done in my opinion. So many deeper plots and building drama that could've taken place. Instead, we get this rushed series of events that ends the whole series so abruptly. I'm gonna miss them!

I just hope, really hope, that they don't whack Tony. I don't know why, but it would be a complete lack of closure to me if they do, because I'll never be able to feel like that's how it was supposed to end.

for Spring Awakening in July. It is the show that has made me get up off my ass and finally go where I have longed to go all my life, Broadway. Yes, I am hoping for a win, many wins for SA. The cast recording hooked me long ago and the play is just as important today as it was when it was written I think. Yes, I want SA to take as many of the awards as possible. I am on pins and needles.

Edit: cast recording replaced sound track---D'oh

so I think you are getting the Red Carpet on one of your stations but if not go to www.tonyawards.com at 6 PM your time I think and it will be covered there. I was just reading something written by someone who was at dress rehearsal and apparently it is a really good show this year. I heard that the Spring Awakening performance is pretty funny as well as really good. I am so looking forward to this and my trip in a couple of months. Enjoy!

30. Not possible
We don't get "The Sopranos" here in the German Rheinland,
and I have never seen an episode of it.

I have also never seen an episode of American Idol or Desperate
Housewives.

Incredible as it may seem, I am, despite this apparently severe
cultural deprivation, still able to read and write, and generally
function on my own without a respirator or a cane.

Mostly in jest. I was just commenting on my "no" vote,
as well as hinting that I didn't feel deprived for not
having seen any of that stuff. As Dylan sang in "All Along
The Watchtower," "No reason to get excited."

I started to watch it 3 years ago, but with HBO on Demand was able to catch the entire series. IMHO, it is one of the best series ever made for tv.

On edit..as to the other Tony's... I stopped watching them years ago after being heartbroken over the very high cost of tickets.

54. I say 40 million people. give or take
which wouldn't put it in the top 15, in terms of pure viewers, since 2000 alone.

this really isn't a major cultural event outside the suburbs, I have to tell you. I don't know of a bar in DC that is having a party, (unlike many Sex and the City ones) Frankly, in the circle I run in, most of us massive consumers of various types of media, I don't know anyone who cares. I know people do, and that's fine, but really, don't get caught up in the hype, it's a TV show.

68. The camera angle Meadow was shot at didn't seem to match Tony's sightline...
but that may have been the case. He may have been looking at Meadow coming into the restaurant and the blackscreen could be him getting shot. Now that I think of it, Meadow had a look on her face, as if she saw something she didn't want to see. I'll have to watch the westcoast feed to see.
