Their medical was supposed to be 100% covered, Unheard of at the time but they had one fantastic plan. Until the medicare changes allowed the insurance company to welsh on part of it's obligation. They now have to pay medicare deductible and prices. What ever medicare does not cover is picked up by the insurance company except the co-pay. They never had a co-pay before the medicare changes.
Mine and their gripe is not with the fact that they are paying the co-pay but that dad worked 40 years and retired with such an excellent benefits package and the insurance company agreed to this obligation. But now the insurance company gets off a large chunk of their obligation wile the taxpayer picks up the tab.
