3 threads at the top of GD:P tell this Kucinich supporter which "top tier" campaign is well run
Here is the Hillary thread: Steven Spielberg Endorses Hillary. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=3314641&mesg_id=3314641

Here is the Obama thread: BET billionaire Sheila Johnson endorses Obama. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x3315550

Here is the Edwards thread: Edwards Gains Momentum in Missouri
The Missouri Democrats endorsing Edwards for president are:

*State Representative Connie Johnson, Minority Whip
*State Representative Ed Wildberger, Minority Caucus Chair
*State Representative John Burnett
*State Representative Curt Dougherty
*State Representative Michael Frame
*State Representative Jeff Roorda
*State Representative Ray Salva
*State Representative Mike Talboy
*State Representative Terry Young
*St. Louis Alderman Stephen Gregali

While Edwards announces support from party activists, Obama and Hillary are fighting over billionaires and Hollywood moguls.

I don't ever find myself wishing that Kucinich was claiming the kind of support from the glitterazzi which Hillary and Obama so proudly announce, but I wish Kucinich had the sort of support which Edwards is slowly building day after day.

There is something intangible that Edwards is doing right here and a point that Hillary and Obama are missing.

1. You might have a point
if Johnson and Speilberg were the only endorsements Obama and Clinton have received - but they're not. They've both received plenty of endorsements from politicos, too.

GD:P is not the whole of the news.

3. Which endorsements are the different campaigns doing press releases about?
Edited on Wed Jun-13-07 07:33 PM by Czolgosz
Of course all three campaigns have endorsements from celebrities, from activists, and from politicos. But which endorsements are the different campaigns celebrating?

4. Clinton has press releases from the last two days
touting endorsements from:

Florida Rep. Kendrick Meek
Maryland Rep. Ruppersberger
Nevada Senate Minority Leader Dina Titus
New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez

7. Well
the OP ignores that information, and now has posted the same exact silliness in GD- politics.

2. Don't foul my beloved GD with the foul odor of politics! Get thee to GD:P
where it belongs!

And furthermore, what Monkeyfunk said.

5. Are you stating the obvious: it's all about money?
Shame on you.

OR,...are you making some other point?

Is it possible that an intelligent, informed, concerned, worldly kinda-individual MIGHT HAVE SOME CHANCE IN BEING ELECTED in a country where 'democracy is bought and sold'?

Is it possible?

I've become far more cynical than I ever imagined BUT,...I still believe ANY THING IS POSSIBLE (especially after these totally corrupt scum of the earth have done what THEY willed).

8. It's about which endorsements the campaigns celebrate. Of course all the campaigns have celebrities
and just activists, but which campaign routinely CELEBRATES the common supporters and the community activists more than the glitterazi.
