...for terrorists"...and other such nonsense.
I have been thinking about this common theme floating around the airwaves, even among knowledgeable "pundits" who should know better.
I am submitting that this sentiment, or belief if you will, is based in fear and ignorance which leads to prejudice. The same thoughts that "they are all the same over there". How can I explain?
Seems to me that it is an insult to those living in Iraq to assume they would even allow for a terrorist state to exist within their boundaries. I think in order to support the view that Iraq is just waiting to become a terrorist training camp, when we leave, is way off the mark based on the history of Iraq.
WTF is wrong with these "experts" on the airwaves? Are they still buying into the "ragheads are all the same" crapola that got us in to this mess in the first place? Let's face it, after 9-11 the ignorant American populace wanted revenge and did not even stop to consider, for one moment, that that region of the world is very diverse and complex. They just wanted to attack anyone who looked like the hijackers, no matter what. Nevermind the consequences of leaving, this thought process never even stopped for one second to consider the consequences of going in!
We have fear running our government and a fat and lazy population. It is an uphill struggle my friends against racism and ethnic cleansing madness that runs amok through our country and the world.
