Irving Lewis Libby was one of the architects of the Iraq invasion and occupation. He also was a founder of PNAC, the Washington-based neo-fascist organization whose members want endless war for endless empire, even though none of them ever wore a military uniform unless it was for a costume party. As a result of Libby's advocacy, hundreds of thousands of people have died; unknown numbers are crippled for life; and the US is now in the catastrophic position of being the most hated nation on earth - George Bush's body-surfing with a crowd of crazed Albanians to the contrary notwithstanding.

And now Libby, this killer-by-proxy, this man who uses the truth the way a dog uses a fire hydrant, this cowardly convicted felon who has flooded the trial court judge with "good boy" letters he has solicited from other Republican and military miscreants, has his attorney whine for freedom during his "appeal" process which is, in fact, nothing more than running out the clock while Irving Lewis Libby waits for his presidential pardon. 37. The night before I left for London, I put a book of matches in my carry on

so I could have a smoke before I went into the airport. The morning I left, I'd forgotten that I'd put matches in my bag, so I grabbed another book and put it in my pocket. I left that book at the airport because they aren't allowed any more. When I got to the hotel, I was REALLY jonesing but Mr. smokey forgot to get me a lighter like I'd requested (typical man). When I opened my carry on, I saw the book I'd put in there the night before. So the moral of this story is sippy cups ---BAD, matches, not so much.

97. 3 yrs. ago a friend and I decided that if we could have

access to the confiscated lighters at airports, then recycle them, and have someone at destinations to sell them we'd be some of those 'ontrapranoors' that Dimson** is so fond of mentioning.

Don't feel bad, I quit 4 times for as long as 2 yrs. (pregnancy and then nursing) and I went back to smoking again - outside and not around my young'uns, but the few that I smoke during a day I really look forward to! :hug:

In the winter, it would get so cold up there I was able to see my breath. In the summer, it was worse than a sauna. I'd have to get up in the middle of the night to take cold showers. That was when I learned to appreciate that cold was much easier to deal with.

having my vehicle serviced today! :bounce: Anyhoo, the service guy found me sitting outside reading and I don't remember how the conversation started down the road of electric cars, but he told me that Saturn had invented the EV1 and that GM had scrapped it. He mentioned being a "big conspiracy nut" but he was ANGRY. I did have to mention that if Saturn brought the cars back, because as I have read and seen people interviewed, the people who had the cars were begging to keep them.

His response was basically, that people who had the cars loved them, wanted to keep them, etc. I mentioned that if GM had the good sense to bring them back they would make a ton of money.
