Happy Father's Day, Daddies!
I didn't see a Father's Day thread, but I wanted to post one in honor of my husband who is celebrating his first Father's Day as a biological father to our newborn and his second one as father-de-facto of my 8-year-old son.

(Below are my hubby's babies):

3. I thought it'd be renamed "Sperm Donor Day"??
After so many of the posts I've seen on DU over the years and increasing in the last year, I get the impression that many don't recognize the role of "Father" in any way equivalent to that of "Mother."

Funny about that.

:evilgrin:

4. Well, in all fairness, mothers DO go through a lot more to BECOME
mothers (trust me - I'm still recovering from a C-Section 9 days ago, not to mention the back aches and inflamation caused from merely carrying around 8-pounds, 11-ounces of joy).

But, we need our Daddies to spoil us, don't we? :)

5. As a father, I say, "Thank you!"
I have done many things in my life, but nothing brings me more joy than my two boys! And thanks to my wife for putting up with the three of us day after day!

7. You're welcome.
My husband says the same thing about me putting up with him and our kidlets. :)

6. Happy Father's Day to All the DU Dad's!!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Any man can be a Father,

but it takes a special person

to be called Dad.

"When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant
I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when
I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he
had learned in seven years."

~~ Mark Twain ~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dedicated To my Father.....
(You are sorely missed!)
"A Father Just Like You"
"I just want you to know
you mean the world to me,
Only a heart as dear as yours
would give so unselfishly.
The many things you've done,
all the times that you were there,
helps me know deep inside
how much you really care.
Even though I might not say,
I appreciate all you do,
Richly blessed is how we feel
having a father just like you."
10. Thanks! Fathers Rock! And Congrats On Your Newest!
Ain't a love in the world that can compare to that of a parent and a child. I could've never imagined the joy that comes from having children, and every father's day it hits me all over again how blessed I am to have them. Ain't nothin in the world like being a father.
Happy Fathers Day to all the DU dads!
