AAN Announces Winners of Alt-Weekly Awards

NEW YORK L.A. Weekly, which earned a Pulitzer this year, topped the large circulation division in this year's Association of Alternative Newsweeklies (AAN) awards, taking home seven first-place prizes.

Style Weekly of Richmond, Va., dominated the small circulation division in this 12th year of competition.

AAN's new Molly Ivins Award went to Keith Olbermann. Jim Hightower paid tribute to the late columnist at the AAN's Portland, Ore. event on Friday.
