According to the neocons, "THEY BELIEVE (only for themselves, of course) THAT...

LYING is okay.

CHEATING is okay.

FRAUD is okay.

EMBEZZLEMENT is okay.

STEALING is okay.

TORTURE is okay.

TYRANNY is okay.

MURDER is okay.

etc

SOOOOO,...if the neocons and corporacrats believe in THEIR SYSTEM OF GOVERNANCE (e.g. the "rule of law" doesn't apply to THEM), why wouldn't all of us buy into that?

Maybe, we ALL should take on the neocon/corporacrat philosophy. Hell, it made them who they are, today. I figure, their philosophy COULD MAKE US THE LEADERS, TOMORROW.

Let us take ON their example,...and carry it to their doorstep, without thinking about anything other than our own interests,...and see what happens.

:sarcasm:

1. But they want you to live by the Ten Commandments.
They want to put the Ten Commandments on a club and beat you to death with it!

,...

Maybe, the political LOT of this country explains the aweful lot of our nation ranking so high in violent crimes and so low in health and education and HOPE.

2. The philosophical antecedents of the neo-con belief system lie
in the thought of Loe Strauss of the U. of Chicago. His acolytes, among them Wolfowitz and other crack-pots, believe that only they have access to the "higher truth" that the rest of us mere mortals lack an understanding of. Their privileged access to that "higher truth" becomes the justification for disobeying the rules of mere common mortals.

9. Well, I figure you and I are just as SPECIAL as them. So, let's adopt their philosophy,...
,...and take them on. They can't object. Right? We're just asserting ourselves as being as "special" as them.

SOOOOO. Let's ALL BE NEOCONS!!!!

I must stand in protection of the "christian conservative base" since their own 'leaders' lie and use and bankroll them at every opportunity.

I'll take a stand on behalf of those who are suffering and are being USED by those who do NOT serve either them or Jesus or God.

Makes me sick.

OH, on edit,...I RESPECT YOUR DEATH, Falwell,...I am not compelled to ever respect your life of profiteering. I have no reason to believe you passed through that eye of a needle.

4. Very True
I've seen it happen in the past six years, too. Judges doing whatever they want, acting like being a judge just means they can order people around, government functionaries doing whatever suits them regardless of the rules.

Recently I've had experience with people ignoring subpoenas! In spite of the fact a subpoena tells you to lay aside all other business, people call and act as if they can get a court to change the time as if it were just a doctor's appointment. Or saying they don't want to go, as if that's all they need to do! Now I wonder where that attitude came from. It's not hard to see where they could have gotten the idea.

11. Well, be honest,...only, ABOUT, one in ten pull that shit.
I figure, if we're doing %75 or better on judges who try their best to serve the Constitution, the law and an objective sense of justice,...we are doing pretty damned good!!!!

Why discount the justices who are dedicated to the branch that keeps this country together? THAT is totally unfair.

Acknowledging what's left and defeating what's wrong, must include sustaining the best of what we have.

8. I think that's more due to massive inflation of staple items
Which was also a gift from the Bush administration.

Then again there was that story from a few weeks ago about the guy who robbed a bank so he could get free food and shelter in prison. Only in Bush's America.

,...to do so otherwise is against our Constitution. BUT, a law-abiding citizen must DIE at the hands of this corporate-owned nation,...because s/he can't pay.

No wonder this country is at DEFAULT-DYSFUNCTIONAL mode.

If we take care of eachother, THAT IS BAD!!! Caring for eachother is BAD because we are required to find 'opportunity' and 'riches' in this country of opportunity. If we fail to overcome the sharks, we are just,...plain ole' failures. AND, if we say, HEY, the price of getting to BE A SHARK in this country is paying the ticket (TAXES) taking care of those who are less fortunate than you,...then, we are those AWEFUL socialist, communist pigs who infringe upon the 'hard-working' people of society. BAH!!! You are for THE GREED-DRIVEN LOT OF HUMANITY or against them.

AS if,...giving is BAD, and RECEIVING IS EVERYTHING. What society EVER prevailed on that notion?

I am spilling out thoughts, recklessly,...but, without guilt,

18. Some of us ALREADY don't respect the rule of law!
I probably break some stupid law every day.
Some of them quite consciously and purposely.
For instance, who has the right to tell me what mild intoxicant I'm "allowed" to enjoy in the privacy of my own home?
Sorry, but I've NEVER respected the rule of law!
From where I sit, it's mostly a sledgehammer used to get me to shut the fuck up and buy more cheap plastic crap and pharmaceutical poisons that I don't need.
A quaint notion, the rule of law!
Destined to end up in the trash heap of history, along with lots of other ideas that we as a species have tried and screwed up.

HOWEVER -

I do, with every conscious breath that I take make an attempt to DO THE RIGHT THING. Always and forever. I try (and sometimes fail) to follow the Golden Rule, be nice to old people and puppies, and leave the place in better shape than I found it. I live as low-impact a life as I can, with as little waste as possible. I try to be nice to people in most situations, but my brutal honesty can be viewed as harshness. If something makes sense to me, if it's the law, I'll respect it because it's the right thing. If it doesn't make sense to me, I have no hesitation whatsoever to say "fuck this!"

Now I know that some will say that this is exactly what our "political enemies" do, but it's not. They insist on one set of standards for themselves and another set of standards for everyone else. That's why they're such assholes, and there are a few "laws" I'd like to break to put them in their place...

20. Gotcha'.
Well, we all have to live with ourselves. We do NOT have to 'understand' how sadistic monsters somehow live as they do.

However, we deserve to be stridently FIRM about the "rule of law" being applicable to EVERY ONE, without regard to their 'position' in life. Actually, we have THE RIGHT TO DEMAND THE RULE OF LAW BE APPLIED TO THOSE WHO ARE SUPPOSE TO SERVE US!!! They are suppose to be held to an even higher standard,...

23. I don't respect the "rule of law"
in the USA. Without justice, there is no rule of law. Without justice, there is no democracy.

This is not a democracy and it has no justice.
