On NPR this afternoon: an interview with an Iraqi woman who worked

for the US in Iraq (sounded like she was almost some sort of a spy) and wants to come to the US but the US won't let her in. Seems he 18 year old son was kidnapped, probably because she worked for the US, and her husband paid a ransom to get him back. Now the US says that by paying the ransom, they gave aid and comfort to the enemy and she can't come here.

I am so ashamed of my country!

1. In reading the Iraqi bloggers, it was heart rending to sense their inherent hopefulness in th US

gradually diminish to utter despair. You have to wonder how many have been suffering for aligning themselves with our lame assed pursuits.

We hear stories all the time about interpreters being killed. It's g-d awful really.

2. The other part of the interview that I didn't mention was that

hubby separated from her and boy hates her because she worked for the US. Nice to have your life destroyed by our criminal government.

3. It is unfathomable how our inane and insensitive policies have destroyed the lives

of so many.

"But we don't do body counts."

How disrespectful.

As a 13th generational american on my mum's side, I'm deeply ashamed as well.

These are human beings.

Which is more than I can say for any in this gross misadministration.
