Rove: Bush will challenge Congress to put up its own plan if it does not like his

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/22/AR2007012200236.html

<snip>

Aides said Bush will not directly engage in a debate over congressional efforts to block the troop increase. But in private briefings for administration allies yesterday, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove said Bush will challenge Congress to put up its own plan if it does not like his "new way forward," according to people who were briefed.

1. They have
put forward several plans. They aren't what he wants though so he puts his fingers in his ears and yells.

Edited on Tue Jan-23-07 09:46 AM by seabeyond
just so childish

last week my repug dad started talking politics after a couple of years of me refusing. he said dems no plan. i told him, repugs and media keep saying then named off the handful of plans and what they were saying and the years... starting with kerry in '04. then father says dems wanted increase, bush does now they dont. had to point out that was way back in '04 before the "civil war" in iraq, for a year dems have been saying pull out.

was an eye opener for him. he couldnt believe me but could hardly argue, seeing how the names are on the plans and have been presented.

3. Figuers
When in doubt blame the Democrats..

Wait did the Democrats get us into this war?

Isn't this the Bush war against Saddam because of WMD, you know after 911 we can't trust the madman and now we remove him and we make a mess out of the country of Iraq and now its the Democrats fault?

Democrats should simply state that it is not our responsibility to fight an unwinnable war. The war is lost and we will bring the troops home.

4. The Dems have stated their plans (I guess they don't understand
English) and they keep on ignoring voices of reason. That should clue these politicians that we have a madman in office, more like a dictator.

6. Classic republican action
Fuck something up. THE MISTAKE WAS GOING INTO IRAQ IN THE FIRST PLACE. Then whine because no one else will fix the problem.

Republicans say government does not work. They then get elected and prove it.

bush, and most importantly, the radical christian clerics who support him have the blood of our Soldiers on their hands but they just don't care.

8. You mean all that time he spent "deliberating" over all the "Plans"
No one had a different one than his? God it is getting deep.....Remember he spent agonizing weeks and months trying to decide which was the best plan of action. He chose the only one that was not offered by anyone else publicly.

Edited on Tue Jan-23-07 10:36 AM by spanone
The bullshiters are against a wall. Congress has come up with plans that the White House could not give a shit about. This is a tired old worn out format that Rove has used again and again. Fuck off karl.

15. Sure. He breaks it and it's somebody else's responsibility to fix it.
Sums up Junior's life pretty well. And while somebody else is fixing that for him, he'll be stirring up another Iraqnam in Iran with his childish Reaganesque war rhetoric and saber-rattling deployment of forces to threaten Iran.

I've got a great plan: Replace The Decider. It was he who was asleep at the wheel on 9/11. It was he who took his eye off the ball in Afghanistan. It was he who lied us into this mess in Iraq. He'll just keep coming up with more ideas that are like throwing gasoline onto a fire. Most good solutions include elimination of the problem. He's the problem. My plan starts with getting him and his cronies out of power.

16. This is the latest Republican meme. I heard McCain, Brownback
and other right wing pundits say this exact thing over the weekend. Pathetic.
