Care packages for soldiers?
Some buddies of mine and I are wanting to pool some money and send a care package to one or some of our troops. Looking around on the Internet, I see a TON of places that offer this service. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with any of these outfits and could recommend one or maybe point me in the direction of one we haven't heard before.

The first one we came up with was mysoldier.com, which actually seems to match you up with a troop. I also see that the USO offers a service, and I found another one called treatanysoldier.com.

I seem to recall seeing one months ago that had many different packages that were mainly heavy-duty hygiene products, stuff like that. I'd like to send something like that rather than a big box of cookies and candy.

Thanks in advance!

1. Try this link:
http://soldiersangels.org/

Click "Angel Store" then "Care Packages."

I haven't sent anything yet, but I intend to. Probably one of the "female" packages.

:hi:

2. I'd go through the USO
Simply because I know who they are. They always put on good events when I was active duty.

3. I'm pretty impressed with anysoldier.com. And as Catch22Dem says, the USO is an awesome group also.

4. Have used AnySoldier.com since the beginning of the war and through the occupation since
Never used the prepacked option since my little girl enjoyed picking out all the stuff to go in the boxes and ALWAYS threw in a coupla bags of Jolly Ranchers. One troop looked us up back in '04 and said all the guys in his squad had at least a coupla Jolly Ranchers saved in their pockets til the next box arrived.

The site explains it all: Any Soldier - Includes Marine/Sailor/Airman, too.

Best money I've ever spent.
