Jonesboro school murderer is already in trouble with the law again

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - A lawyer for one of the Jonesboro school shooters says federal authorities want a grand jury to consider drug and weapons charges against Mitchell Johnson.

Attorney Doug Norwood says state prosecutors in Fayetteville have dropped charges against Johnson, who was charged New Year's Day after a traffic stop in Fayetteville while riding with Justin Trammel. Trammel was convicted while a juvenile of killing his father with a crossbow.

On March 24th, 1998, Johnson and Andrew Golden killed four students and a teacher at Westside Middle School. Johnson was released from federal custody in 2005 when he turned 21. Golden turned 21 this year and was presumably released from federal custody, though his whereabouts have not been publicly identified.
