1. They Are Serving You.
They are serving you on a silver platter to the highest bidder; in fact.

5. lets just say we're entitled to a government
that believes in its constitional duties.

like 'providing for the common welfare' type of thing, you know?

would be nice to have federal government that actually did something for its people, rather than wage criminal war abroad and dismantle every domestic agency it runs.

6. It is that sense of "entitlement"
that makes the upper 5% of this country rich and the 95% of those under them to suffer endlessly.

We can't survive with the attitude that we're all "owed" something by our government. We can decide that certain, basic rights--health care for all, a hand up to those who need it, the ability to speak up and out, the continued human and civil rights outlined in the Constitution, the right to an education, the ability to vote without prejudice, and the ability to accomplish our dreams--are required in any republic or democracy, but we are not "owed" anything beyond that.

If we are to stay free and accomplish our goals, we need to do the same thing for our country--see to it that those who seek to destroy our country--those both IN and OUTSIDE--are hindered in their success to destroy our liberties and our chances. And that means the terrorists here as much as those in foreign countries. And that means those who have infiltrated our country's highest offices, and are there to help themselves more than anyone else.

But no; there cannot be a sense of entitlement, because we defeat the spirit of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence by feeling that way. We won't survive another 300 years if we expect that.

7. Well, you don't always get it.
If you happen to be lucky and fickle enough to always be voting with the majority, then you're in good shape. Otherwise, you need to find other ways for your voice to be heard.
