Did anybody else here download and watch Sicko for free?

Tomorrow, I am sending a check for $20 to Michael Moore to cover what it would have cost me to see this flick in the theater. Although he doesn't seem to bent out of shape on peer-to-peer movie downloads, I was so moved by this film that I feel a bit compelled to pay for it.

And I want to see the audience reactions to it. And I also want to see who comes to see it.

When Gore's film came out in one theatre downtown I went, expecting to see a half-empty auditorium. To my shock and surprise, it was filled with people I didn't expect to see - the monied, suv driving yuppie types. And ALL of them were crowded around the information booths on the way out.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to download this. I'll see the movie, and buy the dvd when it comes out - that's for certain. This message has to get out - and I think MM understands that.

I really don't want to wait till this comes out on dvd and watching it in a theater will probably be impossible. Most of them here make it very difficult for someone in a wheelchair to get in.

Moore seems to be interested not only in the money. He is also interested in getting the message out.

and forwarded to his web staff, but then I got tempted and watched it, BUT I do plan to watch it at the movies and buy the DVD. Even if you know quite a bit about it I highly recommend seeing it, and taking further actions. We have been lied to and 'played' in so many ways.

I'd advise against sending a check - he might feel compelled to return it because you're not really buying something with it. But I understand the thought. Buying the dvd in the future probably would be best, as someone mentioned.

It's an incredible eye opener. There were so many touching stories, and I was so sad and at the same time very angry while watching it. I think it's something that needs to be seen by everyone in this country. I hope it helps to bring about a big change for our future.

or, if it doesn't come to this town, to buy a copy of the video, even though I have watched it online. What I think is important is to share it with folks who WOULDN'T go see it or buy it, which is what we intend to do.
